Kristen Stewart was named the face for Chanel last December. Some photos have come out since then. Here is a new video of the behind the scenes of the photo shoot with Kristen.
Kristen Stewart is a busy girl right now and it makes perfect sense that Karl Lagerfeld would cast the actress as the face of Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection. Sure, it’s hard to imagine K-Stew herding cattle and wearing chaps. But if anyone can get her to release her inner cowgirl in the name of fashion, it’s Karl.
Kristen models everything from fringed jackets to gun holsters—all in front of a rustic barn backdrop—with total ease. “Typically, I wouldn’t see myself as being the quintessential face of Chanel with the pearls and the classics,” Stewart told Grazia. “But I liked stepping into that role, and this suits me a little bit more than past collections because it is very American.”
“The [photo shoot] was effortless and he’s awesome and he’s so sweet,” she gushed. “The only intimidating thing about [Karl] really is that scary unapproachable facade which is something people project onto him I think.”
As for her favorite pieces that she models during the photo shoot?
“My favorite dress is the long black tulle one with embroidered stars, and the shoes that I’m wearing in the ad campaign.”
